Hobart No. 4 Single Malt Gin, manufactured by Sullivans Cove Distillery, is reminiscent of the colonial era when spirits were made utilizing regional ingredients in modest pot stills. The same spirit used to create Sullivans Cove's award-winning whiskies is utilized to create Hobart No. 4, giving it the weight, body, and malt flavor you'll love from the first sip. This gin with a thick mouthfeel is flavored with four natural botanicals in addition to typical juniper: Wattleseed, Lemon Myrtle, Anise Myrtle, and Tasmanian Pepperberry. In your next traditional gin cocktail, such as an old-fashioned or negroni, Hobart No. 4 goes great on the rocks with a wedge of pink grapefruit.

In stark contrast to your typical London Dry, Hobart No.4 is a pot-distilled, 100% malted barley spirit gin.

Rich, malty, ripe fruit and grains are abundant in the bouquet; it smells more like a new-make whisky than a classic gin. A wonderful peppery note with undertones of thyme, sweet oregano, licorice, and lemon butter is present, along with a slight but noticeable piney juniper. An aniseed-dominated malty flavor with vanilla, bright pepper, and a grounding burned coffee, and a dark cocoa note from the wattleseed follows a faint piney juniper introduction on the palate. The malt spirit displays its texture by firmly grasping the palate and refusing to let go, both on the palate and in the finish, unlike a London Dry, creamier. Fresh, herbal, and aniseed flavors dominate the aftertaste, which is followed by a beautiful, lingering, peppery warmth from the pepper berry.
