At its distillery, Jack Daniel's produces a lot of whiskeys. It is the whiskey brand with the most global sales, which is great news for the Tennessee whiskey industry. However, popular whiskey isn't always a great whiskey. A bad hangover is certain if Jack's Old No. 7 is thought of as more than a mixer. On the other hand, the company offers a variety of expressions that are worthy of sipping.

Jack Daniel's Bottled-in-Bond Traveler's Exclusive is one of Jack's products that I've recently grown to like particularly. It seems sensible that we would enjoy this as we enjoy Jack Daniel's bonded single barrel a lot. We were immediately interested when we first noticed it on the shelf.

The container itself was a full litre, giving me more value for my money, and the box stood out with a nice black and gold visual design.

The ratio of corn to rye in this original Jack Daniel's mash is 80% corn to 12% barley to 8% rye. The barrels repose for a minimum of four years in a bonded facility before being vatted and proofed up to 100 proof.

Hostess Cherry Pie is the predominant aroma, with hints of damp oak, faint eggnog spice, vanilla, soft leather, and orange candies. The flavour is quite delicious and combines banana pancakes with maple syrup that has been infused with apple cider, along with dry oak and toffee candies and a hint of almond crunch.

A last note of dry reed and the butter end of that Hostess Cherry Pie are followed by a creamy toffee that drives the end and propels a long-ish finish.

This is a fantastic complement to any bar cart because of the huge bottle (one litre), matt box, gold text over black, and traditional look. Although it is immediately recognizable as a Jack bottle, it is also unmistakably unique.
